Description

Glunaughts grow a large variety of subterranean, aquatic, and normal plants and fungi. You will find that most products are roots, tubers, bulbs, cave fungi, aquatic fungi, mosses, lichen, sea grass, sea fruits, and fruits in general. Because of Makazi's high moisture most to all plants have extremely juicy fruits. You will find that there are many kinds of flora some plants are even subterranean relying on the dim light produce by some crystals abundant in Makazi's crust. Here are just a few samples of the wide variety of Glunaught crops.

First we have the Space Potato (because I couldn't think of a better name) This root crop is native to the center of the west most island of the main land. They grow to be about half the size of a water melon in the soft soil.

Next the Cave Onion. As the name implies it grows in caves. It is native to the eastern island chain were the Origin of the Glunaught species is believed to take place. The pollen on this plant glows orange like the crystals around it attracting small animals to its blossoms and allowing for pollination. Cave Onions are said to taste like a sweet garlic.

Sand Berries are an aquatic plant inhabiting the shallow waters of the southern land. They are bitter and despite growing in water the ripe fruit is actually rather dry to Glunaught standards. When they are ripe and only then, they float to the surfaces of the water often eaten by creatures who are near by or washed onto shore or out to sea.

Anemo are a purplish fruit without a peel. They grow on Anemotrees that are native to the same area as the Space Potato. They are produced in a pod that looks very similar to the rest of the tree's "tentacles". When they are fully ripe the pod will fall to the ground were it is either eaten or picked up by farmers. Because Anemo has no peel they have to be either kept in the nectar within the pod or water during shipping, storage, and so on. If this is not done it will dry out and rot.

Last we have Bundled Slugs. One of the most popular foods on Makazi. This cave fungus can be grown in just about any cave, and as been done so, so finding its exact origin has been a little hard. They taste very much like Pomegranates, and are extremely juicy. The "fruit" is basically a thin membrane with juice and pulp like spores inside it.

With all this juicy fruit, I'd say that it'd be one of Makazi's most valuable exports, right? Exotic, sweet alien fruit? Do want!
